King East in the Community

The many ways we contribute and support...

Dr. Kelemen and Dr. Wattie believe strongly in supporting the communities they live and work in. Here are just a few of the events and charities the King East Team have been involved in...

Food Drive Success

Patients, staff and friends of King East Dental in Stoney Creek collected more than 1,200 lbs. of non-perishable goods last month in addition to money donated for the food bank.

"It is important to help people less fortunate and to give back to your community," says Dr. Kelemen. "When we saw the article in the Stoney Creek News appealing for donations, we knew that we could help".

As an added inncentive, Dr. Kelemen offered to match $1 on behalf of the team for every pound of food donated.

"We knew that our patients and friends were generous, but were still overwhelmed at the response," said Dr. Kelemen.

Dr. Kelemen...and the team at King East Dental would like to thank those who generously participated to make this drive a success.

Easter Food Drive

Dr. Brian Kelemen and staff of King East Dental organized an Easter food drive. Over the last four weeks, patients donated hundreds of items that will go to two local food banks.

The staff also held a fundraiser for Travis' Battle, which assists Travis Carter, a six-year-old fighting Batten's Disease. The office raffled tickets to the March 26 Hamilton Bulldogs game against the St. John's Maple Leafs and sold a hundred tickets to the game in support of Travis.

Holiday Food Drive

Dr. Brian Kelemen's dental office presented a $1,850 cheque and more than 1,000 lbs of food to the Stoney Creek CommunityFood Bank.

Staff and patients donated the money and food. The office will continue collecting money and food for the food bank into February.

The office would like to thank staff and patients for their support. The food bank would also like to thank everyone who donated this holiday season.
